Yes another successful Sinulog Festival. Undoubtedly the grandest celebration in the country. Disciplined crowd, awesome street performance, amazing music and mouth watering street foods. What else can you wish for?

Commercially important with it's high influx of foreign and local tourist ,Sinulog is one of few religious events that gains economic significance .

A great way to introduce a country to the world.A country that is by majority Catholic yet globally competitive .A good market for potential investors and a perfect getaway for any tourist.

And if you have not been here then my dear you should as you're missing a party of a lifetime plus an opportunity to don your fashions and test those photographic skills of yours as everything about this event is picture worthy. In many ways than one it leaves you with a feeling of being grateful you're alive to witness such a big colorful event like no other.

This event celebrated every third Sunday of January never fails to attract large crowd for. many reasons .No two celebrations are every the same either. It's a mini reunion girlfriends and family, a business opportunity for some etc apart from its religious roots.

Because most roads are closed yeah it's also a mini work out for those flabs of yours and without the cellular network for the duration of the event it's a great break from you responsibility online of sorts.

What I love about this festival? It requires a lot of patience, teamwork and commitment.

Each continent needs a lot of hands from makeup artist ,choreographers, musical director, band members, dancers, props men and support crew. It requires weeks of practice and much endurance for everyone in the final parade.

Those ornately decorated floats and lavish costumes never came without a price. You can just imagine the hours poured on them from conceptualization down to actual product. Can you imagine the intensity of the stress it required to be hurdled financially and otherwise. Yet in the name of giving glory to this divinity all is managed well.

Two, it celebrates a nation as it allows other provinces to show off their culture

Three ,it is very tolerant of individuality.In today's sinulog the LGBT had their place in grandest parade by far. This is something so not common in many religions festivals across the nation. Even other religious sectors were seen.

Fourth it's an advertisement opportunity for anyone. The participation of commercials entities, fraternities etc makes it a festival for all all walks of life.One can see advocacy being promoted here too.

Fifth, undeniable it's commercial importance is overwhelming.This I say is very important in terms of funding such a big event.

The huge turnout of onlookers means business for everyone. Traditions no matter how significance for without funding and people enjoying said activity.

Fifth it's always entertaining as well as inspiring with an array of talents and artistic interest being showcased.Its not just any parade you'd ever been. Here one can see the artistry and the creative imagination of our citizens be it in the mobile backdrafts or props

It's so impressive one cannot help take a selfie of a groupie picture to capture the event. With the warm friendly smiles of participants surely everybody feels welcome. One can imagine how much energy it takes to dance around town in those heavy sometimes uncomfortable costumes yet you'd always see the performes give that big ear to ear. And that's reason number six. Filipino hospitality at its best.

Most likely if you'd never noticed the umbrellas you'd never guess there was a tropical depression and it was raining. This leads me to reason number seven it best reflect the faith of a nation to something bigger than themselves.So yes despite the very slim chance of winning would not stop these people from putting their best. True there would be other festivals such as this but no where will you see crowd brave it amidst all threat just to show how glad they are for this omnipotent god.So yes all were smiling this day never alone but one with everyone irregardless of personal circumstances.

So mark the 2020 calendar for this event. Bring in sun screen, power bank, water, snacks and a mega tonnes of energy as you need it as you make your way into the crowd and for a whole day of pictures and dancing too.

Pit senor! Yes that's the chant you need to. learn by heart.By the way it's also a great opportunity tl showcase your talent and be discovered. I heard the festival queen bag some 100k for prize and in opportunity to compete with others for a beauty contest.Dating game is high on this day too with so many ladies and men out there in scantily clad costumes to many dismay.

And before. I forget it caps the night with a spectacular firework. Yes the entire day is simply magical.
