Hello Lovely Peoples,

Every country or nation has certain traditions, there is a certain history, which is remembered from generation to generation, preserved by age. Just as we have history in Bangladesh, there are different patterns of certain traditions and cultures, which we try to preserve so that our next generation will know the history and traditional events of the country well. And national museums can play the most effective role in this regard. Because the National Museum preserves the history, past traces and traditions of any country.

There is a National Museum to preserve our past history, culture and important issues. It is known as Bangladesh National Museum. The organization is conducting research on various issues in order to highlight various aspects of Bangladesh's past history and heritage. It first made its debut in 1913 as the Dhaka Museum. Later, after the independence of Bangladesh, it was named as the National Museum of the Government of Bangladesh in 1983 through various events. It is currently operating under the Ministry of Culture, Government of Bangladesh.

Its main building, with a space of 20,000 sq km, is 4 floors wide. There are 46 galleries with 83,000 different patterns. Originally, past events and traditions of Bangladesh's past history have been preserved so that the present generation can easily learn about history and heritage by visiting them. But it is the largest museum not only in Bangladesh but also in South Asia.

Communication:

Its communication system is excellent. One side is Dhaka University and the other is Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University. It is located near the main road of Shahbag. There is ample car parking. Because of this, many tourists, both domestic and foreign, visit it daily. There are a lot of tourist attractions here, especially on weekends. As a past event or educational setting it is becoming popular with everyone. Foreigners can use the guide if needed, but recording something inside the camera or other device is prohibited.

Schedule:

It is open almost always. However, everything is closed one day per week for proper preservation or cleaning. It is closed every Thursday. And the rest of the week it is open to everyone. But it is also open on weekends and national events. However, it is open in summer, winter and Ramadan according to three different schedules. So it is important to know the things before traveling. Winter is now running, open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Ticket Price:

Although the Bangladesh government has arranged it for travel at a low cost to Bangladeshis. So that the new generation of Bangladeshi can easily gain knowledge of the past traditions and history of the country. Its ticket counter is located next to the main gate. There are three types of rules for ticketing. Firstly, only 7 cents for children, 15 cents for adults and $ 1 for foreign visitors. However, there are free travel opportunities for school-college students on special holidays in the country.

After all, in my opinion this is a very important museum for our current generation. Because by visiting it, they will get a proper sense of the whole of Bangladesh as well as knowing the past history and heritage of the country. Knowledge of the country's map, fauna, mineral resources, various types of coins and architecture, art, past manuscripts, plants, portraits of world minders, world civilization and traditional mangrove forests can be learned.
