Petronas Towers – symbol of the city

As any traveler visiting KL, the Petronas Twin Towers is a must – visit place. The photo in the Twin Tower can present for whole Malaysia trip. That is why we can’t miss this place on our last day here.

In the nighttime, the whole Tower is sparkling with slivery light from the base to the top. In the daytime, it shows clearly a fascinating architecture of the city with the style that few can forget. We visit Twin Towers twice also because of that.

It is quite hard to take photo with full of people there but there are just a few right spots. It’s required to have technique to capture whole the tower into the photo, that is why we spend 30RM to buy a special lens from the street vender to be able to take photos with larger angle.

It’s supposed to be useful but turns out a waste. Haha. We finally find out exact spot and way to take perfect photo without any special equipment. If you visit Petronas Towers in KL, no need to buy anything for good photos, just try stand in the higher spot, and set the camera down as low as possible.

Believe me, you will have amazing photo as you wish.

Street food in Jalan Alor

As a developed city in South East Asia, KL impressed us by showing how crowded and congested it is when we walk in the center and visit shopping malls. Our last day is meant to be shopping day. We need to take advantage to purchase products from the brands that don’t exist in Vietnam. It is even more tempting when most of brands is on sale time.

After shopping time, we walk around the Jalan Alor food street to have dinner. We spent the whole day before in Hutong Lot 10 – the place for eating in the basement of shopping malls. We were really satisfied about the food there.

But for the last day, we want to change the style, like go outside and grab some street food. I believe that there will be no any better place for street food than Jalan Alor.

Chinese and Malaysian food in Hutong Lot 10. I love all this

Just 10 minutes of walking-street, but so many stalls and hawkers. As an immigrant city, you can find kind of everything in this street. It seems like the foods from the whole world are concentrated here, from Western food to Chinese and Thai food,… The street is quite large but become small and narrow because all the plastic chairs and tables of those stalls which were set up on 2 sides of the street and took up most of area.

The more dinner time is close, the more people come here. The street becomes really busy and crowded. Most of stalls and restaurants sell the same kind of food, that is why it is quite hard to pick the right one to have dinner. The think I like here is every restaurant shows up their menu and visitors are free to take a look before making decision. We are looking for place have cheap beer, and we get the offer from the restaurant that they will give discount for the drink. It is about 10RM, while every place else is about 12-13RM.
