CentralWorld Food Festival , Bangkok.

October 2019 · 5 min read · Lumphini Subdistrict

Another Sunday and another blue sky sunny day in Bangkok so what do i do in Bangkok today well been Sunday and a beautiful day out their i didn't want to stay indoors and it was getting near lunch time and i was still lazing around at home with no plans but my tummy was crying for food and it suddenly come to me their are always food festivals around the Bangkok city so i needed to get out and find one.

Knowing Bangkok that would not be hard to find as they say about Bangkok it's one big kitchen you will never starve and on weekends it turns intoa even bigger kitchen with food festivals going on normally at every major mall so i decided to check out CentralWorld shopping mall first as this mall has a big open space just outside the mall and you are always bound to find a food festival going on their.

And it's always the first mall to put up there huge Christmas tree by this time of the year and i wasn't wrong.

And yep so was the food festival in full swing and i could smell all them spicy odors and them seafood dishes. I always find that CentralWorld puts on the most amazing food festival and it's convenient to get to via the Skytrain virtually drops you at the front door and it's safe to walk around no traffic to bother you.

You will always find the best of seafood's huge King Prawns , Crabs , Lobsters and many more steamed or barbecued your choice.

Seafood omelettes at these food festivals are always on the top of my list where you can get the variety of seafood thrown into your omelette with some veggies if you like , it doesn't get any better then that...just superb.

If you prefer seafood barbecue on the stick with the sauce of your choice like calamari or squid as they call it food on the stick walk around and feast on it as your looking around.

The choice of food on the stick is very popular in Thailand and the variety is in abundance it can be chicken , pork , beef , sausages , seafood and even veggies on the stick like mushrooms , broccoli , mixed in with a sausage wrapped in bacon if you like all on a stick how awesome and with what even sauce you prefer hot , mild or sweet.

And there are no storage on room that they provide to sit down and enjoy your meal with a nice cold natural juice some spots are very nicely set up in a trendy way i like the idea of these colored pallets pretty cool idea easy and cheap but looks great.

The knuckle pork bits marinated with some spicy sauce or sweet sour are another of my favorites just love that crunchy taste.

Pomegranate , Lime , Orange , Guava juices and many more you will always find and are always natural with no sugars added.

If you prefer the already cut up fruits or as a whole their is no storage of them either mangoes , grapefruits , jack-fruit , durian , custard apples and many more take away or eat on the spot after your meal.

Smoothies who doesn't love Smoothies with the best of the fruits.

Hot Chili Paste or just marinated chili's.

Maybe some yummy nuts or mixed bag.

Banana , Cheese mixed Waffles...yummy !!

Some bubble fruit teas and deserts they don't leave out anything.

The fairy frost man and his wife with the charcoal barbecue dry salty squid Issan style , business straight of their vintage bicycles.

The Bonsai man keeping his precious Bonsai's cool on this hot day.

You see it's not only about food you can really make a day of it many other interesting vendors turn up with some amazing clothing , jewelry and other items.

I loved this stall this lady would have your own pet put on your handbag , hat , pillows , T-shirts and other items how cool is that wear your pet around...lol :)

This vendor was pretty awesome also have your own portrait made in old traditional Thai costumes for less then $10 US.

And then after all that shopping and walking around why not stop for a coffee at the "SLOWBAR" !!
