Looking Up in Bangkok City.

Looking Up in Bangkok City.

September 2019 · 4 min read · Rong Mueang Subdistrict

Today is #wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and for my Wednesday walk i took to the Bangkok streets and my adventure today was going to be about a 10 km walk to go visit a friend who had just arrived into Bangkok from Australia.

My intentions and concentration on this walk today through Bangkok city is to show you some of the high apartment blocks that can be either bought or rented in the big city of Bangkok.

The apartment blocks i am showing you here are more about the middle to high range of condo's you can buy or rent here in Bangkok and will range from $200,000.00 US to $800,000.00 US dollars depending from 1 bedroom to a 3 bedroom apartment.

As a foreigner in Thailand you can own a apartment outright as long as you can show your money as been transferred to Thailand from a abroad account as Thailand banks will not provide funds as to mortgage your purchasing apartment.

If you choose to rent these apartment they are also at very reasonable monthly prices on 6 months or yearly contracts are the most advisable ranging from $500.00 US to $1500.00 US per/month again depending on the size and bedrooms of the apartment.

And what i love about most apartments in Bangkok city they are always situated walking distance to either the BTS which is the Skytrain or the MRT which is the underground train so very convenient.

There are the higher end of apartments which will cost you that bit more but will have walkways leading straight out from your apartment block and leading you into shopping malls and train station platforms how cool and convenient is that.

And of course you will have complexes of varieties of restaurants , bars and street foods like this complex of night life drinking bars and restaurants that you can just pop downstairs and it's all in front of you.

Even a small skate board ring in this complex.

All these apartment that i have show you are all within minutes to the city center via trains. He is a rock house of rock right near were my friend is staying where they have live band entertainment and also sell all sorts of musical instrument i love these guitars the most i have always had a thing about guitars their shapes , designs and colors are just amazing.

We called into the Hungry Nerd Steak for lunch what a delicious steak and fair prices right down stairs from his apartment i would be there everyday if i was living next door to this steak house.

Another interesting part of Bangkok i had not seen before and i found it a very trendy and clean area an area of the city that is not only reasonable with the cost of it's real estate or rentals but a area which is convenient to all amenities and connecting you to all stations and highways.

I always have a habit of looking up when i walk the streets you never know what you might see looking up as i did i saw this huge cactus bush growing on this fence high up at first i though just another cactus plant gone wild but then i noticed it was bearing this fruit and the fruit is called Dragon Fruit one of my favorites fruits here in Thailand i had no idea that they grew on a plant that just looks like a cactus plant how amazing you learn something everyday.
