I had heard that in mid-town Bangkok there was a new mall built called "The Street" an more trendy fashionable lifestyle mall great name for a mall and quite catchy so i had to make my way out there last Friday afternoon to check it out.
It use to be the old Robinson Plaza Shopping Mall till they refurbished and turned it into a evening terrace cafes and bistros it was about bringing back some much needed zest to the mid-town area of Bangkok in Ratchada.
Upon walking into The Street mall it more resembled to me like a huge library or museum i love the way it had these seating areas were you could just sit , relax read a book have a snooze or just look at the world go by from the opening in the structure of this amazing building.
These guys really had a job on there hands cleaning all the metal railing structures and keeping the floors clean and check out the thousands of little brick slates this mall was built with very attractive and impressive.
Marking my way up to the next floors i immediately step into the game amusement section for kids and adults and they even had like a cinema screen where professional game players can compete against each other just amazing sound set up like been in a cinema.
The Street Mall was design for a lifestyle for the needs of beauty, fashion, dining and entertainment and it has certainly achieved this it's a mall that you can enjoy eating out, shop or take care of some business at a bank a place that beats staying at home it is just beautifully done that makes it look expensive and lavish but just not over done just right enough not to turn you away.
Even the Food Court was done in a way to suit the exterior of the building very open and fresh looking colors a place you can enjoy many varieties of Thai dishes at very affordable price.
The Street Ratchada Mall is a place you can simply be yourself and go with the flow it has all the necessary shops to fulfill your needs try out these awesome open up lounge and maybe catch up on a snooze while your at it they look comfortable enough to do so...lol 😜
This lifestyle mall has no time strings attached it consists of 5 amazing floors of beautiful designed shops each one is enjoyable to look at they all have their own characteristics which doesn't bore you to look at.
One thing that i have found here in Thailand is that all shopping malls built in Thailand always have every bank you may need and a post office which are open everyday yes 7 days a week how convenient is that.
And get this the outdoor ground level designed with wide staircases not only makes it the mall look pretty but it's a great setting for a hangout area especially when all these restaurants and cafes are open 24/7 yes 24 hours a day around the clock , why you say because this area has one million square meters of condominiums packed with students and university students that's a lot of mouths to feed that not counting all the hotel rooms in this area.
Also another interesting factor that i have noticed here in Thailand is mostly all the shopping malls are conveniently connected with walkways going across busy intersection or leading out of condominium or office blocks straight into the mall which makes it safe and very handy on them rainy days.
This is one shopping mall that i felt that i wasn't in a shopping mall felt like i was at a art exhibition such a artful mall to walk around and it has a real nightlife appeal i do have to visit this mall one night for a nice dinner meal.
"This is not my photo but a source"
Well it was getting late i was just about to leave this mall not that i wanted to i could of easily spent a few more hours in this amazing mall and just as i was about to leave the monsoon storm hit so i wasn't going anywhere i could smell the barbecue taste of them big whopper burgers from burger king so back in i when ordered a big whopper and waited for the storm to pass.
Upon satisfying myself with this big juicy whooper i was all powered up again and made my way to the MRT underground train to head back home a very enjoyable day at the "The Street" mall this afternoon.
The "Alex Face" is everywhere in Bangkok this was on the entrance wall to the underground train.
