My plan on Wednesday was to visit the the Vintage Market near Chatuchak Market which is small distance walk from the Mo Chit BTS Skytrain but when i got to the Vintage Market it happen to be closed but according to their Facebook page it was suppose to be open well someone got that wrong it's only open on weekends as i discovered. Never mind the Vintage Market had a huge park beside it that i thoroughly enjoyed my day walking through.
This park called Chatuchak Park is right next to the Skytrain line and Mo Chit main commercial area so very convenient for people from the office blocks if they want to go lunch , jog or a quick walk to stretch there legs on there lunch break.
I have walked many parks in Bangkok but i found this park very beautifully laid out with many flower gardens and ponds with a huge lake in the center of the park. The gardens are impeccable and highly maintained, with rolling lawns and beautiful tropical gardens a great park to spend time with your family and friends.
This park is very clean and relaxing, and a nice place to stroll around after you have battled your way around the weekend market which are right next door to this park. There many benches and sitting areas around the park to sit and have a quite lunch after the markets.
In what ever park i have walked in Bangkok i always seem to find these Monitor Lizards come out to greet me check out this baby Monitor Lizard i wanted to take this one home so cute.
Many unusual and beautifully maintain trees were to be seen in this park.
These beautiful garden setting with these gorgeous pathways are mare set up for wedding photography.
This Banyan Tree really had a grip to the ground it wasn't going anywhere no matter of floods , hail , tornado or strong gusty winds it was here to stay.
Have you ever seen a Banyan Tree with some many trunks you could build a house on these trunks they are that strong looking.
That black and white Squirrel has certainly picked a good home and playground.
A few nice ornament statues around the park like these prehistoric flying dinosaurs statues.
A clock in the garden pretty neat.
This part of the park i found very interesting it reminded me of the old Roman Colosseum in Italy where they use to have all the Gladiator battles.
They actually use this area for out door concerts how cool is that.
And just a few more flowers to finish of the post. This was certainly one of my most enjoyable parks to walk around lots to see a very colorful.

How to get there: Both the BTS Skytrain and MRT Subway drop you right in front of the park.
