Idyllic villages, nice small towns, friendly people, delicious foods and everything are cheap... It is Poland. We make road trip through northern part of Poland and i find myself very impressed of this country.
It is take 6 hours to drive to Poland's border from our home in Germany. The weather is nice, and we drive with open cabrio...
After we entered the border, there is no doubt that there are still big differences of development between Germany and Poland. We realize, however, that Poland has always been a victim in world wars, and after that it came under the rule of communist socialist former Soviet Union.... They are still building, are very active in building infrastructure and until now have not been completed ... Look at construction of highways everywhere.
Oookay.... That was... and now let's we see the nice side of traveling.... in a nice, late summer warm afternoon we arrive in our Hotel in Szczecin. It was an old building but it was arranged in such a good and clean manner.... We are happy tourist in a nice place...
Here we stay, Hotel Rycerski, just in the middle of old town.
We stayed in Szczecin - without any definite plan - for one week and we love this small town...
In the evening, we're mostly in one of lots of bar along Ksiecia Bogulawa X Street... chill out... It is a most happening street in the evening until late. This car-free street filled with bars, cafes and restaurants on both sides.
Szczecin is not a boring city. We always find interesting things every day exploring this city... We take a walk enjoying the beauty of this quiet city, drinking coffee in a cozy cafe... and lazing in the hotel. Here's our photos in the small town of Szczecin....
