Keikyä is a small village in Finland. It was also a municipality, but in 1981 it was joined with Kiikka. Together they formed a new municipality called Äetsä. Also impossible to pronounce for non-Finns. They should have thought that a bit further. Or perhaps they did. They didn't want any foreigners to find the place, as it is impossible to pronounce and because of that, it's impossible to ask someone directions.
In January first 2009 someone perhaps thought of that and Äetsä joined with two other municipalities to the Sastamala town. Sastamala sounds like a name that was invented just for the sake of tourists. "Come to Finland! We also have places that are easy to pronounce!"
But instead of just using any map available in the internet or navigator, or asking the locals how to get to the longest suspension bridge in Finland, I dare you to ask: "Can you help me please, I'm looking for the suspension bridge in Kyipikaye, formerly also known as a district of Aeaetsae but now part of a town called Sastalaalaamaalaa."
If you plan to go there, I recommend going before the end of 2021 because the inspection report completed in the summer of 2018 states that the bridge needs immediate renovation within three years, or it's use is banned.

My guess is that it won't be renovated because of money. Or the lack of it. But I sure do hope that it's renovation gets enough funds so that this small piece of history is preserved and restored to future generations.
It was still pretty stable. I jumped on it several times, ran over it and did all kinds of weird moves. It was wobbly as suspension bridges always are, but I couldn't break it. So still a pretty solid old pearl in the unpronounceable small village of Keikyä.
