This is my fist time trying out the travelblog.io app to post. Not sure how it will come out but what the heck! There's no harm in trying something new.
So, I'll like to share about my whole service residence experience which is fascinating, of course the fact that I've always stayed in a functional and efficient hotel room, sized within 25 to 35 sqm AND now I'm staying in a service residence that's a size of at least 60 sqm, that's a huge comparison. Then, again after a while there's pros and cons on both sides.
To be honest I miss the high level standards of hospitality and services from 5* hotels. In most service residences, breakfast is usually outsourced as they have no talents in managing F&B. Easy way out is to outsource everything so there's less headache. Such a typical answer.
So, yeah.. when I recently stayed in a 5* International Chain resort, my heart ached unexpectedly; all those memories of how true hotel hospitality is about. I did graduated with a Diploma in Hospitality Management and yet somehow, in this organization, it doesn't seemed that we're doing that. Feels so much like real estate business here.
I missed the feeling of how guests are treated and the fine touches of the turn down service, short sweet messages placed on the bedside, the welcome greetings from the Chief Concierge and having the Bellman to open the doors for me. Now, for me to get this feeling, I have to walk into a 5* hotel in Saigon to remember what it's like to really be in an environment of 5* service standard and not some cost control-self like dictatorship working environment. Opps..
