[A trip to Italy] First night. Part 2

April 2019 · 3 min read · Lombardy

When I reached Bovisa station, I was in anticipation that I would soon be in the apartment and I could take a shower ... But how wrong was I!

The first part of that story you can find here.

Wi fi never catches. My Korean number is me, so good! I turned it off in advance, which means there would be no talk of roaming. A little thought, I again put the bags on the wheels and went confident step in the opposite direction! Are you thinking back to the airport ?! No, give up is not my horse! Just as I wandered through the streets, I saw some kind of subway station. Yes, I managed to get through the whole station. So, I went down there. I didn’t meet the working escalators and elevators that night, so besides the exercises to strengthen the muscles of the legs, I also had an intensive training on pumping the muscles of the arms. Why I went down there, to be honest, and I do not know. But I was lucky, I met a guy who speaks French and Italian. I had to recall the French, which I had taught at the university long ago and for a short time. Using body language, I explained to him where I wanted to go. He grabbed my bags and picked it up. Then he led somewhere. We got to the tram depot. He talked to the drivers, put me on the tram and said that the driver would stop at the stop I needed. With a little doubt, I initially had to walk from my Bovisa station just 15 minutes walk to the house, and then go somewhere ... Well, well, maybe I just went so far ... So I thanked the guy and started counting stops.

The clock was already 2 in the morning. I traveled by tram for at least 30 minutes. The tram stopped periodically. People came out and stopped by. Then, the tram suddenly stopped and there was no one left. I run up to the driver. He, raising his hands to the sky, while shaking his head, said that he had forgotten about me. Then he went out, returned to the tram and said something to me. From his speech I understood only the word "taxi". We went somewhere. After 10 minutes, he landed me, pointing to some street, then, mixed with English, said that you need to go a little and there will be a taxi. I thanked him. She took her bags and headed down that street.

So, the road from Bovisa station to the house, instead of the planned 15 minutes, took me almost five hours. It turned out that from the place where I got on the tram, you could walk to my house in 5 minutes. He was around the corner. And the tram took me to the city center, rolling through Milan at night.
