Part I, Part II

Today I will continue my story about trip to Dubai.

As I already told you in last post the United Arab Emirates are famous not only by Burj Khalifa, but also by the Empty Quarter, or as it also well-known Rub al Khali. It is the world’s largest sand desert. And as one of the most touristic country UAE couldn’t ignore that nature gift. Every second tourist, who is coming to UAE, reserve a safari tour to the desert. It is a very unusual tour. And actually, I am not what is more impressive the desert itself or big cars — jeeps, which tourist ride during that safari tour.

So, as every second tourist I also booked that tour. It costed me 40 USD. The duration of tour is approximately 6 hours. No, it doesn’t mean that you will ride the jeep for 6 hours and explore deserts. But, actually, you will be tranfered by jeep from your hotel to Abu Dhabi, where the desert is located.

This tour is usually an evening tour, because at that time you can also enjoy a sunset and performance.

Around 3 pm a big luxury jeep came to hotel to pick us up. On the way to the desert we made a quick stop, so we could ride buggies and camels, also take a picture with falcon, eat something, buy souvenirs and just to take a break. But, you should be cautious of prices, because they are even much higher than in shopping-malls. So, I will not recommend to buy anything there. In one word, people are making money there.

As soon as we arrived to the desert we moved from our car to another. And we started our american rides around the desert. The ride itself continued about 30 minutes. And, I will not recommend this fun to people with a weak heart or any other heart diseases, and may be some kids as well.

After a jeep ride we had some time to walk around and to take insta photos. Well, all pictures are amazing, because the view is stunning.

After it we had a very short ride on camel. Poor camels stand there and entertain tourists. And the line was kinda long, usually it takes about 10 minutes waiting in the queue and then just a minute on the camel.

Then in our programme was a dinner in a made village. Well, dinner is not so yummy, but the performance is pretty nice, at least to watch it once. There was a guy with fire show, arabic dances etc. Also, there were several booths with different attractions like hena drawings, a bar, etc.

After dinner our driver came to take us back to our hotel. As any other touristic guides, he offered us a day tour around Dubai, and showed us a night Dubai a little bit.

I love to walk, and as usual I walked a lot in Dubai too. But, I was feeling myself like a white crow because everyone was enjoying a cool taxis, public transportation or personal cars. It seemed walking is not in trend there. Maybe because it was about +33 degrees outside.

And next time I will tell you more about UAE…
