How was the journey from Yogyakarta Airport to Bukit Lawang?

December 2019 · 3 min read · Special Region of Yogyakarta

A travel day from Yogyakarta to Medan and further by car to Bukit Lawang. We have spent the very last day in Yogyakarta with some good food, learning the Indonesian xylophone, a couple of donuts and packing the bags. It was one of those super long travel days. After packing we went with a grab taxi to the Yogyakarta Airport. From there we flew directly to Medan. On this flight we had stunning plane window views on Java's volcanoes whiles sunset. Arriving at night in Medan the hotel shuttle picked us up and drove right to the hotel in Bukit Lawang. We arrived there in the middle of the night and fell tired on our new beds.
