Capitancillo Islet

February 2018 · 2 min read · Bogo

It's been a while when me and my Fellas did a short stop over on Capitancillo Islet. We did it on our way back to Cebu from our overnight stay on Kalanggaman Island. It's a marine sanctuary located in Bogo City, Cebu, Philippines. We were so amazed how the water was so clear. You can see corals even if you're on the boat. This island have three dive sites. If you're in to diving, The island could be a heaven on earth. For sure you will love what you can see underwater.

The Ruin

Capitancillo islet is good for a day trip. I would definitely recommend it. From Cebu City, go to the North Bus terminal and take a bus going to Bogo City, it's around two hours travel. Once you arrive there, You can take a boat from Bogo port to go to the island. During our trip, we had the boat from Mactan. It's almost fours hours sailing, if I remember it right. It's worth it coz on the way, we were able to see a whale shark and a sea turtle. We had our luck and the weather was perfect. Also we didn't have to pay for the entrance of 250 pesos for our boat. But you have to pay 25 pesos though for getting on the island.

That's it for now.
