I have been in Mumbai for a few days and wanted to type about this city. All the photos in this article are pictures I took while in Mumbai.

Mumbai, the city of dreams and aspirations, is also the city of hustle and bustle. It is a city with a past and a present, and it is a city that never sleeps. The city that is full of color and aromas and where every single street is a story. It is more than just 'Mumbai the city' for many, it is their home, and they have a special attachment to it.

Mumbai is a diverse metropolis with a rich heritage, and it is home to people from different parts of India and beyond. It is also the capital of Maharashtra and is known as the business capital of India.

Mumbai was not always a city of dreams.

The city of dreams was not established until the 18th century. It was initially called 'Mumbay' by the Portuguese and was later known as 'Mumbai'. The name 'Mumbai' is derived from 'Mumba,' the name of a local Hindu goddess.

The area was known to the Arabs as 'Mosbi' and later as 'Mumbarine'. The first reference to the island city of Mumbai can be traced back to the 1296 AD when the fleet of the Chaulukya Raja Talapata visited the island.

The seventeenth-century Fort St. George was the first European settlement in India. It is situated in the northern part of the Mumbai city.

Mumbai’s Marine Drive – One of the most popular beaches in the city, Marine Drive is located at the southern end of the Mumbai city. It is a regularly visited tourist attraction.

The Elephanta caves are amongst the most significant sites of religious significance in the state of Maharashtra. They are located in the island city of Elephanta.
