A Walk in Pimpri Market Bazaar, Maharashtra, India

Hello Friends,

Pimpri Market, What can I say? It is a wild market in India.

As a culture, India is fascinating. It's not just the Taj Mahal or the elephants or the colorful saris. It's the people. India has a way of making you reevaluate a lot of things - your assumptions, your worldview, your priorities. It's a challenging and humbling experience, but ultimately, it's an incredibly rewarding one.

India, Its chaos, its beauty, its spirit. India is a country that will test you, but it is also a rewarding experience. One such experience was today when I walked over to this market. My goal was to find peacock feathers, the mission I failed, but an experience I gained.

Today, come wth me on my first solo outing to this section of the world that few from outside of India will venture to see.

--- ## Pimpri Market

Location : Pimpri-Chinchwad Link Rd, Pimpri Area, Bodha nagar, Pimpri Colony, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra 411017

I accessed the market by way of a log set of stairs off the main street. The street was filled with cars, people, sleeping dogs, crows, and more, all living in unity with each other, while over the side, a bustling market was pulsing with its own rhythm.

When I get to a new city, I tend to feel a bit shy about taking photos at first. Sure, you don't know the place, or people.... but its more about not wanting to come off as a tourist, taking photos of people living. They are living their lives, they are not here for my pictures... but still, I feel a need to capture these moments, moments that would slip by, not be remembered.

If you're like most people, you probably can't remember the last time you went to the supermarket. In fact, you may not even remember your trip to the supermarket a few days ago. So, I wrestle with this idea, the idea of capturing life as it is... as that, to me, is the highest form of art.

There's something about vendors selling on the side of the street that just makes life feel a little more...playful. Maybe it's the makeshift nature of it all, or the sense that anything could happen.

There's a certain energy to the flower vendors in India. They bustle about, selling their brightly colored blooms to anyone who'll listen. The flowers are so beautiful, and the scents are so intoxicating, you can't help but be drawn in.

Whenever you walk around any market or busy street corner in India, you're sure to smell the fragrance of jasmine and roses in the air. And if you look closely, you'll see brightly colored flowers arranged in neat bundles, with petals as soft as silk. These vibrant flowers aren't just for show - they're a way of life in India. Flower vendors have been a part of Indian culture for centuries, and they play an important role in the community. Not only do they sell beautiful flowers, but they also offer a touch of beauty and serenity to the chaotic streets of India. For locals and tourists alike, the sight and smell of these flowers is aluring.

The flower vendors in India are a colorful and cheerful bunch. They can always be found with a smile on their face, even when the temperature is soaring and the sun is blazing. They carry an assortment of beautiful flowers, and they always seem to be in high spirits. Except the guy in this photo, I think he was like… Why is this guy taking a photo of flowers?

Welcome to the India Bazaar! As you can see, it's a tight little street with lots of little shops. This is the best place in town to find everything from jewelry to spices to clothes. The people here are friendly and the prices are unbeatable. So if you're looking for a good deal, this is the place to be.

If you're looking for a unique and authentic shopping experience, a never-ending maze of narrow streets and alleyways, you've found it!

Then, there was this guy. In 2 different shops, I saw this same big-headed guy... I wonder who he is... why the rainbow hair, why the tripped out eyes... so many questions...

The Bazaar is a maze of winding streets and shops. I got lost for a moment, but I managed to find my way out.

But then, got pulled right back in again when I saw streets like this… I just had to walk down them.

At one point, I took one too many steps into the backstreets and walked into a small community of homes, The life here, people living, making life work, was in a lot of ways, magical.

This was an unexpected adventure that I found at the bazaar in India. While I did not find any peacock feathers, I enjoyed exploring the different stalls and experiencing the vibrant culture. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good time.

Cheers and see you again soon.
