Turing Jamaica - Parasailing / Recorriendo Jamaica - Paravelismo

January 2020 · 4 min read

Thank you very much for visiting my blog, in this opportunity I bring you a funny publication of an activity you can do in the beaches of Jamaica (as well as in other parts of the world), which allows us to combine the virtues of water and wind in a recreational activity.

I recently made a publication about paragliding in the Island, you can check it out Here

I want to talk to you about Parasailing (also known as paranavelism), for those who do not know it, we can define it as follows:

"It is a recreational activity where a person is attached to the back of a vehicle (usually a boat) while being tied to a parachute specially designed for this sport. The boat accelerates and the paraglider begins to ascend in the air. "Source

Depending on the power of the boat, it could lift 2 or more people at the same time. It should be noted that unlike paragliding, the paraglider pilot does not have any control over the parachute used, he should simply enjoy his ride from the height. In addition, there is also paragliding on land which is practiced as a sport in some parts of the world.

I have to emphasize that to carry out this activity there are also certain conditions that must be taken into account, especially for the protection of those who want to enjoy it, for example in pregnant women, people with spine and/or back problems.

To give you a better idea of what you might feel when you do this activity, I leave a video recorded in Negril, Jamaica.

I leave a Location of a place where I could enjoy premium paragliding.

I invite you to visit some of my other publications for more information on tourism in Jamaica and the Caribbean.
