Spain is a country with an ancient history, where a considerable part of its media existence, developed on the edge of some fortresses, castles, from which derives the name of the most powerful of its kingdoms: Castile.

From the old Castilla la Nueva -today, Castilla-La Mancha- the current community of Toledo, conserves interesting elements of this remaining heritage, which accumulates so many legends and stories.

One of the best-preserved castles, whose starry ground plan gives it a curious form of chained geometries, is the castle of Guadamur.

Guadamur, an interesting town about twenty kilometres from Toledo capital – ‘that old capital of forgotten empires', as the German poet Rainer María Rilke defined it in a letter to his friend and teacher, the French sculptor Auguste Rodin - was famous because the famous treasure of Guarrazar was discovered in its municipal district, with the rich and almost depleted votive crowns of the Visigothic kings, which are currently on display in the Archaeological Museum of Madrid.

Restored and converted into a private centre for conventions and hotel events, Guadamur Castle was the setting for interesting films, such as ‘The Night of Walpurgis', starring our international werewolf, Paul Naschy - Jacinto Molina's pseudonym - as well as numerous episodes of the ‘Red Eagle' series.
