Thung Krachiew Flower Field Tour- Chaiyaphun Thailand!

May 2020 Β· 3 min read Β· Chaiyaphum Province

Have you ever sat on a mountain cliff edge and you happen to be afraid of heights. I had to sit down slowly because my legs were shaking so much πŸ˜‚πŸ“ΈπŸ˜‚...

This cliff is one of the hi-lights of going on a tour of this beautiful flower field in eastern Thailand many years ago. Thung Krachiew is located in the Sai Thong National Park in the Chaiyaphum Province.

In the dry summer month of July, me and my cousin took this tour. It was mostly Thai Nationals and pour tour guide spoke only Thai language.

We were the first of many groups going out that day and we were told to be very careful of where we step and how to stay in a path. The flower field is 100% natural and we did not want to damage any of the field for all the other people :-)

I enjoy flowers and the colors, so we were really excited about this new area.

The timing was perfect because all the flowers were in bloom and you could see the array of colors scattered throughout the fields.

The park is a mountain area and we had early fog as we started the day. The early morning haze made it all the better.

The tour went on for about an hour as we walked the path, but you can certainly stay there as long as you like. Back then the entrance fee was only 50 THB (about 2 dollars).

Back then, I had to use my limited camera on my phone as I had not really gotten into photography. I look back and see that the colors and landscape photos came out ok.

The trails are made of wood and some natural earth. Not very wide as they want us to not walk or stray into the fields.

There were other paths for bikes and cars to use, this photo is near the entry.

My cousin was having fun using her selfie stick. She was good company on the mountain cliff (she is scared of heights as well).

The waterfall was awesome. This is where I could have really used my cameras today to get the composition and long exposure photo.

We were most happy just to able to rest and relax from the heat. It was a rather muggy day and the waterfall was just what we were looking for.

I would very much like to visit again when I go back to visit Thailand. The park had so much to offer and all is natural. As a Natural Park destination it will be around for generations to come and explore.

If you are in the eastern area of Thailand (central part), then I would take a look at how close you are to this beautiful destination.

I look back at this time with my cousin and it is something that I will always remember. Thank you for reading.
