BlueAce: The Adventure Begins

BlueAce: The Adventure Begins

October 2019 · 3 min read · United States

The call came in at 9:05 a.m. PT on a Monday morning. Only 1 hours 55 minutes to get my final inspection and clean up. I was anxious as my number had been rejected twice this week. Was it for real this time? Don't want to panic. Number 90387. Yeah...that's me.

I wanted to spin around and jump for joy. Momentary lapse. Would look a bit odd with me being a 29.2 ft. Thor A.C.E. Class A, RV.

And I was being adopted. Oh boy! Got my paperwork in order. Yep, it says I'm headed East 3,000 miles. You see, my new family liked me so much they were willing to pay my asking price. Goodbye's all said to my friends at the factory in California. "C'mon now everyone, knock it off. I don't want to ruin my fresh deluxe detail."

Time to board. Imagine that...a train. First Class. And on top of that, I'm taking the scenic route. No looking back now. I've been waiting for this moment for 6 months.

Something happened I didn't know about at the time. Apparently, the train was delayed. Instead of getting upset, I relaxed and dreamed about all the adventures I'd have with my new family.

Four weeks later, I finally arrived. Strange looking place. Had me worried there for a minute. But three days later, I saw some big city lights.

Offloaded at the RV sales lot. I heard the sales rep say my new family was on the way. "How will I recognize them? I wondered as thoughts swirled in my engine. They were interrupted as a man walked up to my front window with an RV sales rep.

"That's a nice looking RV", the guy said in a rough voice, then spit tobacco near my front wheel. OMG. I held my breath. Sales rep replied, "that one's already SOLD". Whew... thank God!

Another hour passed. I looked up and saw a nice-looking older couple standing in front of my window.

"Just as I imagined. How handsome BlueAce looks in that shade of dark blue and gray design package I chose," the man said with a sly grin as he turned to the lady beside him.

"Let's go inside, she said in a light voice as she lightly elbowed him. Can't wait to see those beautiful shades of brown interior package I chose.''

Oh boy!...I can tell I'm in for some fun and laughs with this couple. My eyes lit up.

Let's go home!
