From the La Cueva Beach, in good weather, you can see the Teide volcano, which is located on the neighboring Canary Island - Tenerife. When I took this photo, only the top was visible, the rest of the volcanoes were covered with clouds, but it still looked beautiful.

This beach is situated in a very picturesque area. There is a large cliff next to it, you can also walk on the jetty, or sit on the benches there and relax, look at the sea, at the waves forming ...

Playa de la Cueva is 220 meters long and 85 average meters wide, with a mixture of gravel and black sand. The cliffs near it look different than the ones I saw in Ireland. Sand colors predominate here, there is a lot of brown, orange and gray. There are palm trees on the top.

I really liked the color of the water on this beach. It is very varied, with a lovely navy blue in the deeper parts of the sea.

There are two main beaches in San Sebastian: Playa de San Sebastian and Playa de la Cueva. I found out at the beginning of my stay on the island that sometimes high waves and strong currents form on this beautiful beach of de la Cueva, so it's better not to swim here. I only swam at de San Sebastian beach, where the water is calmer. I will write about it in another post.

As you can see, there are even big swirls in the sea near this beach. It's nice to watch them from the land. I would not like to get to one while in the water ;)
