A Fun Sunday Morning

Welcome wonderful people! Hopefully today is a blessed day for everyone who doing goodness. As always I would write down any interesting thing that is happening in my city Langsa-Indonesia. Also as this is my entry for Peoplephotography contest that hosted by @worldcapture. Very well, as I went out since morning to the downtown where we have a city park there and we're going to ride the horse. This is a routine practice schedule where I also take part.

PERDANA Chapter Aceh

Horse riding on every Sunday mornings is one of the routine schedules for the member of the Indonesian Horseback Archery Organization which is wellknown as Persatuan Pemanah Berkuda Indonesia (PERDANA) chapter Aceh, Langsa City and also PORDASI Langsa, the Indonesia Equestrian Sport Organization. The practice takes place in the city park, which also attended by Langsa City Police Chief AKBP Andy Hermawan SIK, MSc. His horses also trained and used to ride by the riders. The horse named Panther and Satria, plus another horse, Jade. They all male horses.

Jade, Panther & Satria The Horse

The practice session is going to be so fun and were present along with the trainers who's in charge coach Apriansyah Vrya Abu Tuah and Herman Abi Siti. They are both assisted by some other members together who helps many things such as checking the track from any hole ground, checking the horses equipment, clean away the horse poop with sand and photograph documentation. We have some other day practice session, it could be 4 times in a week but as sunday is a non work and school day so it's like a perfect day where we could have everyone here to ride the horse, discussing and gathering.

Prepare The Horses

In advance, as the horses are in a different place so we need to bring them to the city park by riding it. In the morning at 07 a.m. Jade and Panther ride coach Apriansyah Vrya Abu Tuah and Baginda AlFarizi had run through the streets in the downtown Langsa City. The traffic was smooth in the morning so it was pretty safe to ride a horse. The locals who passed by, were amazed as seeing horses walking in the city. Though it was very rare found like this here, so they followed the horses and some even took pictures and videotaped.

Ride On

Finally arriving at the city park, Jade and Panther the horse were moored under the tree, the saddle was removed and they were briefly rested after passing about 6 kilometers. After that the other members help prepare the horse track barrier and be lined with ropes. After the horses are given a drink and have enough rest, again the saddle is put back on both horses and ready to ride on.

The riders start riding the horses trained by coach for every session in couple minutes. Learn how to sit properly, manage the balance well, how to control the reins, how to ask the horse move forward in a good walk, also up to how to not bouncing when do the trot and do the canter for the riders who reach to that level. Some visitors at the park watching and asked questions about horse thing also what if they want to try ride a horse. So this is also one of the things that is interesting for anyone who likes horses to be able to start learning. Including me, I am also learning and trying to develope my ability until it works well. The biggest challenge is should be brave with myself when riding it.
