Lately, there is a craze about brown sugar boba tea around the town. I happened to pass by one of the street in Sri Petaling and on that single street has 5 f&b outlets that sells brown sugar boba tea. That is how crazy about it. Despite the tight competition, people are still going for the trend and open new store to sell the drinks. This can be seen at Subang Jaya SS15 too which is almost at a level of insane.
Looking in the store
Barista with a neat and tidy outlook
Well, for me, I am more to looking at how they play with their branding, design and marketing strategy. I love to visit such fancy shops to learn about their design and also their layout on how they want to capture the customer and bring them into the store. This is a very important knowledge as this is one way to attract the crowd and convert them into spending customers!
A small pop out counter which forms a statement for people to peek in
Generous seatings suitable for different crowds inside
I personally love the design of this shop which has a more Japanese style as they are serving more on Japanese trendy drinks like Matcha and Hojicha. The whole ID concept is to be bright and woody with some added greens that make the whole space very comfortable. Then, of course the front elevation is the most important part to grab people eyes. They have this little awning like from the comic of Hayao Miyazaki that form a statement for the people who passed by to stop and have a look inside. Love that statement rather than opening the shop wide and totally have no surprise for the people who visit.
The brownsugar boba tea
The drink itself is not bad, I took a sip and went for coffee instead. @enjiliew was the one who finished up the drink :P haha. Will drop by again to have a try on their other drinks and see how they fair. We had this drink as takeaway as we are rushing to other events. Sadly, can't enjoy the shop.
