Guilin. Part 6. Mountain road to rice terraces.

Probably, you need to tell separately about which road leads to rice terraces.
If I speak with admiration about the terraces, that I would go there again to admire the views and enjoy the peace, this does not mean at all that I again want to drive 25 km along the mountain road that leads to them.
Let's just say that there is nothing special about this road for those who are used to driving along mountain roads.
But!!! She is slightly exhausting. Not even a bit.
Let's just say that I would not want to ride on it all the time, and I was stressed for 25 km.

Why?
Because it is VERY narrow. Two cars will disperse, but all the time you have to keep an eye on who is ahead, who is trying to overtake you, who is pushing where.
And, if on the road HERE, up, you always cling to the rock (which, by the way, also has a limit to the asphalt, and if you cling to the very rock itself, the wheel from this asphalt can also get into the hollow near the asphalt pavement, which naturally erodes these places with streams.
But on the road BACK, from the mountain, you are already pressed to the cliff, and now it is much more intense.
Let me remind you for those who read, and those who did not read the previous stories, that we went to the rice terraces not on weekends and not on holidays. That is, there were no traffic jams and problems with parking in the parking lot below, under the funicular.

I can’t even imagine how it is on holidays.
Our son, for example, relates to the crowd, queues, traffic jams for hours somehow calmly. Not, of course, they annoy him, but for him all this is somehow very casual in Chinese. This is China.
Because he and his girlfriend travel everywhere, and she works and has weekends and holidays, like all other Chinese. Therefore, when they go somewhere with her, they are always on weekends and holidays.
By the way, this son taught me how to park in a crowd of Chinese cars in parking lots where there are no places, and suddenly you see one thing!
It is necessary to immediately jump out of the car (if I am a passenger, of course), get up to this place, and let only my husband’s car go there. :)))
Because often, while you are starting to park, a cunning Chinese can jump out from behind, and immediately supporting you, park in the place on which you are paving. :)))
In general, I learned. But we do not very often, so to speak, very rarely, find ourselves in such moments. And the son - every day.

So, about the road.
There is a fold to the rice terraces, there is immediately a large tourist place where you buy tickets. There are many buses with tourists, cars, shops. There you buy tickets and start moving up.
Here from this place is an example of 20-25 km to the funicular to the farthest terrace. There is a closer turn to another, we were not there. By the way, there is a reason next time to turn on it. :)))
I'll just show you some photos from this road. It’s beautiful, of course, if it weren’t for the road, you could just go and enjoy the views.
This road of more than 20 km does not look scary at all, not even scary at all, in fact, like that.

You have to go at times most often like this. On the left is the oncoming car in the frame.

Constant turns, for which you do not know who, what and how, are also annoying.

Now imagine for a moment that there are hundreds of cars on this road, the road is clogged with cars all in one and the other direction. Plus huge buses with tourists that go one by one and, at the turns, create traffic jams.
Big buses on such roads are the biggest problem. We fell in the direction of "there", and in the direction of "back" too. It’s very unpleasant to go after them, because you still have the same bus to meet you, and you are forced to snuggle up to the edge not from the cliff side, but from the cliff side.

Therefore, by the way, there were so few photos, it was very tense.
But above all this is waiting for you.
