The Outlook Steak & Grill is Grand Sierra Pines Baguio's other place to eat. This is separte the hotel's building. They serve new and traditional American cuisine and steakhouses.

I can't find it in the map of Tasteem but I can see it in Google maps. I just tagged Grand Sierra Pines instead.

Situated in the midst of once was a more forested area, The Outlook is one of the places I enjoy because of it being surrounded with trees. The place was glass walled and some parts are glass roofed such that it gives a 360 view of the environment.

The atmosphere is bright, airy and relaxing with all the greens around and the cool breeze. What's more, it's away from the bustle and hustle of the city such that it is somewhat peaceful.

The Outlook is located at the second and third floors and took advantage of the environment. On the first floor they have a pool table for hire. Fee is per hour for you to play. Their bar is located in this floor too and this is where their counter is located. Their bar has some display of liquor but not much. The upper floor is for dining only.

It is recommended to choose outdoor seating when the weather is good.

First off, I ordered coffee and apple cobbler while my partner ordered beer. They have other options for hot drinks, cold drinks and alcoholic beverages both local and imported brands.

Apple cobbler is baked apple, cinnamon and caramel sauce and milk on top.

The apple cobbler is okay. The milk powder on top dries the throat so it is perfect for a cup of coffee. 3/5

During my other visits here, we tried some of their meals.

Fish (crispy fish fillet) and potato wedges sprinkled with parmesan cheese with coleslaw side dish. This serves one and tastes okay. 3/5

Baked Chicken Parmigiana is baked chicken covered with marinara sauce and melted cheese with beans, cherry tomatoes and baby tomatoes and coleslaw on the side. The cheese and sauce is too much but all in all it's okay. 3/5

Molten Lava Cake is a moist chocolate cake with decadent chocolate in the middle topped with powdered sugar and it comes with one scoop of vanilla ice cream. I have tasted better molten lava cakes but this is not bad. 4/5

White Cheddar Philly Steak Sub comes with potato chips on the sides.

This is how it looks on the menu.

It pales in comparison to what is shown in the menu. The staff said squid ink was used to make the Cubano sub bread. It was dry and tastes like paper. The beef sukiyaki is not that tender to almost chewy. 1.5/5

From right to left: _Lasagna Nachos _are crispy tortillas filled with pasta-bechamel sauce with melted cheese as dip. I like this a lot. The crispiness and mix of sauce and cheese is just perfect. 5/5

Fresh Garden Salad consists of lettuce, olives, grapes, cherry tomatoes, chunks of slices of grilled pork, strips of lasagna nachos and topped with parmesan cheese. This is version of fresh garden salad. Overall, it tastes okay. Nothing special about it. 3/5

Parmesan Crusted Mac and Cheese is mac and cheese covered with parmesan and then fried with marinara salsa as dip. The taste and flavor of this is not bad. 3/5

Overall, the food is fulfilling but not satisfying. The prices are a bit expensive. The quality of food is not that great. Some are well presented and looks appetizing on the menu but in reality it is not.

I still highly recommend this for a place to just chill and relax.

Also, you can take a peek at the gallery they have at the hotel. Adkos Gallery is located there. Here you can see some of the works of Philippine's national artists like Fernando Amorsolo and Carlos Botong Francisco.

As of this writing, there was an exhibit to celebrate the life of our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. On display are some of his original sketch, first edition books (Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo), manuscripts, writings on science, etc, and his chair.

On the hallways are where different paintings from various artists are often displayed. The works of local artists are being promoted here and these changes from time to time.

Local solar painter Mang-osan had his works displayed here as well. For a long time, his portrait of Manny Pacquiao had been in display in the mini library. I didn't see it the last time I was there.

Not only do you have the opportunity to admire and probably buy paintings, you can also spend some time at the mini library located at the same floor where the gallery is.

Also, in the library, they have board games that will keep you entertained.

It is a place for family, friends and for your partner to spend time and relax. The food may not be the best but it's a place to be closer with nature and where your senses are encouraged to appreciate art.
