We heard about a new place for fish food lovers 30 km away from Islamabad. So we planned a quick visit to that place called Shahpur dam. Shahpur Dam is located in Attock District on Nandana River in Punjab, Pakistan. The dam is 26 m (85 ft) high and has a storage capacity of 7,620,000 m3 (14,285 acre⋅ft). The dam site is located in Kala Chitta Range in Attock District. With the recent development in the surroundings, the dam has now become a popular picnic spot for locals as well as for the people of nearby cities.
I like this place because it does not have any commercial activity like motorboat, boating and jet ski etc. If you like nature,natural beauty and want Peace of mind then this place is for you.
After enjoying the serene beauty of dam we visited a road side restaurant to taste some fish recipe. It was very neat,clean and beautifuly decorated place.Outdoor sitting arrangement was very good and comfortable.We preferred to sit outside in natural greenery. They had allocated different areas for families well decorated with different colored lights and scenic plants.They also had a kids playing area. For prayer they also had a mosque and separate place for women.
We gave an order of two dishes of fish. One was fish gravey and one barbecue grill fish with chatni. We tried afghani Naan with these fish recipes. I am not very fond of fish gravey but I liked this fish gravey dish and barbecue fish was also very good.

Over all we liked the place and also the food. In our next visit we will try to taste other fish and barbecue recipes. These restaurants also provide shinwari recipes.
