World Rally Championship 2024 season starts at Rallye Monte Carlo!

I returned home last night from France and the opening rally of the 2024 World Rally Championship season. Rallye Monte Carlo. It was a thrilling 4 days of rally at one of the most iconic WRC events. We followed Slaven during his rally stages and covered the event to the best of our ability.

This time around we had a different focus than last time during CER. For the first time we will be utilizing ads to get the word out towards the wider crypto community which we have been unfortunately neglecting.
We wanted to get the content out as soon as possible which is why I was accompanied by my editor. Rallye Monte Carlo was a bit different than previous rally's I attended and it took a lot out of me. The distances between points of interest were significant and we found ourselves on the road for whole days. In total I covered almost 4000 kilometers during my trip from arrival at location in French Alps, during covering the event, and the return home to Croatia.

Unfortunately there were no good options for flying and because the confirmation that we will be accompanying Slaven came only a week before the event, the accommodation couldn't be found in the Park Ferme area in Gap where the cars would arrive after every day, but rather at a location an hour away.
What is a 20 kilometer distance from our location to Gap, due to the twisting mountain roads, took far more time than expected.

The opening and closing ceremony were in Monaco (Monte Carlo) and on each of those days when we needed to reach Monaco I did around 9 hours of driving. We would start the day at 07:00 and be back in the apartment at 22:00. Unfortunately there was simply no time to write Hive blog-posts with updates considering that we would then be editing videos and sending it over to @crimsonclad to put up on the Hiveblocks account. We also sent out images that were then posted on mine and other larger Hive related X accounts like that of @threespeak, @jeffjagoe, @acidyo, @anomadsoul. I want to take this time to thank them for their help.

The event itself was quite glamorous and well attended which you will be able to see in our Aftermovie that my editor was editing on the last day in the car while I was driving, to get it out as soon as possible. lol. Last time around it took us a week, this time around its already uploaded.

The rally itself was very difficult for the drivers, ice could be seen on the road and in total from around 70 cars that entered 64 finished. Our Hive Raly 5 car had a few mechanical issues which lead to Slaven not being able to finish two of the stages on one of the days.

Up to that point he was doing extremely well, beating out cars many categories higher than him and especially the French drivers that are far more familiar with the roads here than our team is.

Besides the Aftermovie I will be dropping links here to various videos that went up on X (twitter) specifically that are rally related. A few shorts, an interview with the team. Some of the photos you can see here, they were also posted online

For some closing thoughts I want to add that we seriously need to start utilizing all the tools available like classic advertising to leave our echochamber and get the word out otherwise we are letting down Slaven that is risking his life out there on the road for Hive, and also letting ourselves down as we are spending significant money on the car and not doing the promotion part to the best of our ability.

We have the funds and ads guarantee a certain level of visibility. Word of mouth will not work for us as has been proven by the fact that without people being paid for simple liking and commenting, they will not do it.

I will leave a few "Lordbutterfly Appreciation Comments" below you can vote as well. Im not getting paid anything for this, you could say I actually lost money here on lost curation, not posting due to travel, not doing my other daily crypto stuff, whatever else.

Anyways... Im looking forward to the next rally that should be in Croatia. Now its time for me to move on to stuff I have been neglecting for the last week. :)

Hive on!
