Impressions of Portugal

Before the lock down we were still on tour. Azores, Lisbon, Caparica and across Alentejo.
From this small Eat-Sleep-Surf-Repeat tour today a few photos that I made.
Starting with the Azores today, more precisely Sao Miguel.

Azores

São Miguel is the largest island of the Azores, which belongs to Portugal. This island is especially known for its volcanoes, flora and fauna (including whales). What attracts most tourists is for example in the capital Ponta Delgada the city gate "Portas da Cidade" from the 18th century, also the gothic church "Igreja Matriz de São Sebastião" and the fortress "Forte de São Brás" from the 16th century are worth seeing. The crater lake of Sete Cidades, around which a tragic love story entwines itself with its green and blue part, is located in the northwest of the island. In the east is Furnas with its fumaroles and mineral springs, which is also one of the sights of the Azores.
