What are the things that you dislike about hotels? Did you ever wonder who has slept in the hotel room before you? Is that thought making you worry? Are you unhappy with the next door noisy guests or the poor customer service?

So far I have tried all sorts of accommodation, from Couch Surfing to 5 stars hotels and enjoyed most of them. I personally don't care much about any of the above as long as the room and linen are clean and I don't feel the odour of smoke or step on old dirty carpet.

Though I do appreciate late check outs, good continental breakfasts and a high speed internet. Recently I had the pleasure to be the first guest to sleep in a brand new hotel. That made me the first person to inaugurate the room.

It was a really nice experience knowing that no one has ever slept in that bed, that everything was new. It had a special feeling to it.

When I booked the trip, I was in a hurry and I did not realize it was a new hotel. I discovered that upon arrival and I was thrilled. There was literally nothing negative that I could say about it.

The location was beautiful as the hotel was right on the beach and its amenities were great. Everything looked beautiful and the service was amazing!

Have a look at the reception area and the lounges! Didn't they look fantastic?

I really liked the blue piano and the painted glass ceiling in the hallway and one of the lounges!

As for the outdoors terraces, I enjoyed spending time there working on my laptop or simply keeping an eye on my little man while he was playing.

The hotel had three outdoors pools and one indoors. We loved all four of them.

The smallest one, for the kids, was heated which allowed the little ones to enjoy it even during a cloudy day.

Not to mention that at one point, there were more parents than children in the pool! In the evenings, past 7PM, the kiddies pool was taken over by the parents or other adults.

Also I was happy to discover that there was a full schedule of activities for children in the play area! As you can see in the photo below, I got my well deserved me time.

In a nutshell, we had great time while being at Astor Gardens Hotel in St. Konstantin and Elena resort!
