Traveler's Lay Bay, takeaway along the highway

Traveler's Lay Bay is a bus stop-over station with different takeaway stores. It is located along the highway which is very convenient for travelers.

This counter offers barbecue and chicharron which I passed by during my recent travel from Baguio City to Metro Manila.

This counter has noodles and congee which I thought would be a better choice for early dinner as it was almost 5:00PM and we will still be on the road when it gets dark.

I ordered chicken mami (noodles) and had a short "dine in" on one of their very few good-for-one tables along the pathways. I had to ask the crew for a bag to keep my bowl of noodles and took it away as the bus is already blowing its horn. 😃 The good thing is, the crew was quick to respond.

At the price of P80.00 (US $1.53) per bowl of the chicken mami, I thought that was a bit pricey but having travelled several times and tried bus-stop fastfoods, it is no surprise if their price is higher than regular fastfood restaurants. That is because they know that travelers have very limited to no choice if they are the only food house nearby.

And by the way, Traveler's Lay Bay has a fully airconditioned restaurant with, I would say, fairly fine dining area.
