14th May 2019 - Part 76*
starting to explore the area
We are now fully settled in and starting to explore the area - the area is poole dorset on the jurrasic coast - a world heritage site of special scientific interest and the home to some incredible geology.
This is durdle door cliff arch, created around 10000 years ago from water piercing the limestone rocks.(not my photo)
There is some great things to do in the area and the beach at kimmeridge just down the road is one where you can dig for fossils with some amazing specimens found there over the years! There is also corfe castle that is steeped in history and studland beach nature reserve. We will be visiting them all and will be sharing the photos in future posts.
