It is located in Kalupahana, Badulla. It is a tributary of the Walawe River. Bambarakanda Ella meets a forest full of pine trees.

The road to Kalupahana junction via Belihuloya, Balangoda, Ratnapura is the starting point of the road to Bambarakanda Falls. Bambarakanda Falls is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka.

Below you will see the Badulla-Ratnapura highway. The falls are about 3 meters from the town of Kalu Pahana. The specialty of the Bambarakanda Falls is that it is naturally shaped in a basin.

We slowly came to the foot of the waterfall. This picture will not give you a clear idea of Sri Lanka's tallest waterfall. Those days water flows slowly to the down because less rain condition had when I visited Bambarakanda waterfall.

I came very close location for take best imagine how much height this waterfall. Now you can believe with my main topic what I wrote here. If you can see more water flows It would be tremendous visual.

Then we started to go top of the mountain for looking more attractive scenery through pines forest. Those tree shades reduced sunlight. So we could kept our physical power for hiking.

In the dark green area, the forest is surrounded by well-groomed pine trees and large, tall trees.
