Hello Wonderful Steem Community,

The Yala National Park is located along the southern and Uva provinces of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is the second largest national park with a total area of 979 square kilometers.

After the entered to national park, firstly we could see male peacock. He's showing his attractive feathers to female peacock.
We entered the Palatupana entrance because the driver mentioned that a large number of animals are on the ground.

You can enter the forest with a permit from the main entrance and travel to the forest without damaging the environment and wildlife. From 6.00 am to 6.00 pm, it is open to both local and foreign tourists. Therefore, we must not forget that the Yala National Park is not only a National Park but also a Natural Science Museum, which is of great archaeological value.

Ruhunu National Park, otherwise known as the Yala National Park, was declared a Wildlife Reserve on 23 March 1900. It was declared a National Park on 25th February 1938 and today it is a five-part National Park.

Some species of the birds I looked very first time. There are about 282 species of birds recorded in the park. Some of the birds are endemic to Sri Lanka, such as the hawk cock, dry cock, Loriculus bertllinus, red heron, ash heifer, florist.

These birds was very attractive to me. Because their color combination gave big inspiration. Looks their beauty.

I think he found treasure hunt (fish). Yala National Park can be reached via Galle, Matara, Tangalle and Hambantota on the coastal route from Colombo. Or visit Yala National Park via Pelmadulla, Embilipitiya, Nonagama, Hambantota and Weerawila via Ratnapura.

It's one of the big lake in Yala. Behind of the lake you can see highest rock like as Seegiriya mountain I previously posted.

The Yala National Park is characteristically dry and arid. During the period from November to January. Northeast monsoon rains bring rain and the annual rainfall is between 900 and 1,300 mm. The average temperature is about 27 degrees Celsius.

Yala forest very reached to the Kirinda beach. So lot of big stones there like above.

Both wild boars find something for their eat. But unfortunately lot of wild boars killed for meat from hunt peoples. I heard lot of time from tv.

image.png

Another innocent rabbit I could see. The rabbits don't like face to humans directly like as other animals. Several ecosystems can be seen from this forest. The forest, reservoirs and lagoon bushes are just a few of them. The main forest is characterized by a dry tropical monsoon forest, with thorns and scrub forests, mangroves and lowland grasslands.

The biggest animal found by our jeep's driver. The elephant is the biggest animal in Yala. The unique feature of the park is the high diversity of the Milky Way and the record of land and marine mammal species. There are no lions. If I want to see lions live in the forest I must want to go Africa forests. We also couldn't see tigers. Thanks for reading.
