Exploration of Ranmasu Uyana - A marvelous work of water engineering and urban architecture in SL.

April 2020 · 3 min read · Anuradhapura

Hello everyone, Welcome back to my today's travel blog. I posted more naturalize locations through this site. Meanwhile I didn't forget to share historical, cultural places as well. If you were came to Sri Lanka, you know what types of places important to watch since Anuradhapura. I honestly say that, I got more historical information through books wrote from my native language.

There was wrote some little description about Ranmasu uyana from Sinhala/ Tamil and English languages. If you want to go to the Ranmasu uyana, you can first enter the park on the right side of the Isurumuni Temple in Anuradhapura.

The remains of two fully built ponds, a moat and a few other buildings are all over the park.

>*This garden is also referred to as "Ranmasu Uyana" in the Vessagiri inscription made by King IV Mihindu (956-972 AD). Since the ponds and trenches are filled with golden fish, it is doubtful that this beautiful garden belongs to it.*

You can also see that the creativity of the ponds in the goldfish garden is very high. The ponds are located in the golden garden. The way in which gold ponds were supplied to ponds is a testament to the ancient engineering technology.

We walked around the garden nearest Ranmasu uyana. Uyana mean garden from native language. There are smaller trees growing than other historical gardens. Sometimes Anuradapura climate affected to it. However there was biggest warmest condition had and we suffered lot.

>*According to the prevailing opinion, the engraved letters and images are a map of some of the planets in another galaxy, in another solar system. In short, it is the path that an alien plane must travel from the earth and the return route from an alien.*

This is very similar to the universal energy center mentioned in the Ravana teledrama, which is being broadcast on our private TV channel these days. The messages exchanged between people at that time were spiritual.

This is the main pool. The main pond is a square. Its length is 20 feet 10 inches. There is a staircase leading out to the right side to descend into the pool. Two side walls have been built. There is an opening in the northeast of the bottom for drainage.

You can find evidence that the Ranmasu uyana had been closed for many years. The pallets in the garden have been taken to other structures. There was some stone pillars inside land.

Today there are many ruins in the Ranmasu uyana, but it must have been a beautiful paradise. I didn't know more about historical things before came here. But I got some information from our history books. Thanks for reading.
