Hello everyone, Welcome to my travel blog. What I'm about to present today is the Dimbulagala mountain, which offers a beautiful view of a temple with an ancient history. Dimbulagala is a not difficult to climb younger. This mountain climb is similar to hike mount Sigiriya.
The Dimbulagala mountain looks like the main road leading to the temple. You can see pagoda built on the top of Dimbulagala hill. It was marvelous creation of previous kingdom.
First we went from Colombo to Polonnaruwa and thence through Manampitiya to Dimbulagala. We crossed the Dimbulagala mountain via the Dimbulagala temple. The villagers said there was another way. But I couldn't discovered it.
Dimbulagala Mountain is a protected forest. As I have heard, a large number of elephants live in this region. But we couldn't see any elephant in this journey. However I captured common bird as usual.
Look at the monkey mom and the baby's love looks like human's relationship. This is a great example to human's community. My eyes took more attention for above scenery.
We were able to see the Aranya Senasana on the road leading to Dimbulagala Temple. Ancient ruins can be seen at the top of Dimbulagala mountain. Dimbulagala mountain is surrounded by beautiful forest. Also you can see largest lake behind the camera.
We saw another highest rocks located in front of Dimbulagala. I didn't see any way for climb up to those mountains. May be it's very difficult hike without find road. But I didn't go ask it from someone.

We entered to the temple and I visited everywhere in this mountain. My eyes goes surrounded area. Whole area covered by forests and paddy fields.
My guess is that people living in this area will probably be attacked by wild elephants. Because the homeland of the animals was reserved for chena farmers. I had the privilege of observing the Dimbulagala mountain.
Security was not much of an issue, as an iron fence was built along the side of the mountain. But if you bring small children, you need to take care of that.

There was some historical stories built based Dimbulagala. It is believed that the kings of Pandukabhaya used this mountain Dimbulagala to lead the battle against their uncles. Also I've read history book of Sri Lanka, Dimbulagala lived our last arhat name called "Maliyadeva."
This area is indeed one of the most advanced in the past. It is still a major rice supplier to the rest of the country. The surrounding area of Dimbulagala, which is home to an agricultural economy, is beautiful. Thanks for visiting. See you again.
