There was so cold weather condition. Actually Badulla district is a most coldest province in Sri Lanka. Sometimes I couldn't face directly to this background. But hiking is open activity to the nature. So I couldn't hide from it.

If use the 10-mile road to cross the mountain, any bus from Badulla to Passara, Monaragala and Kataragama should get down at the 10th mile post, get down at Namunukula bus route and go through the Gonakale Tea Estate.

About an hour along the Tea Garden, there is a road leading up to the Tea Garden. About 10 minutes down the road, you enter a pine forest. It's been the hardest journey ever. We went a little slippery because of the rainy days.

About an hour and a half uphill along the turpentine jungle, we enter a thick jungle. With the fog coming suddenly, there was so much darkness in the jungle that no one could see. The terrain of the turpentine jungle is not clear, but the thick jungle is clearly on the top of the mountain.
