Second Day in the city of London

Second Day in the city of London

July 2020 · 3 min read · England

If you have ever heard of London, most likely the Parliament, Big Ben, the River Thames and the Tower of London are mentioned, and those were precisely some of the locations we were supposed to know in our wonderful second day.

After breakfast we left for the subway station, we would start by getting to know the Camdem Market Borough, a place that houses different street markets and a variety of food, it was the ideal place to get what you wanted.

Later, we would know the London Eye, a phenomenal panoramic wheel, in fact, the highest in Europe and the fourth in the world; it is the highest public viewpoint in London, if you want a good place to take photos you should go there.

We had reserved tickets for the London Eye and a cruise along river Thames at a specific time, which I must say we almost missed, we arrived a little late, but with the help of some friendly people in charge we were able to solve everything and finally we accessed the compound.

The first thing would be the boat ride. That day it was cloudy and during the walk a light drizzle began, which did not stop us from enjoying the cruise, we saw the Big Ben, later we passed the Tower Bridge, there was also a tour guide that told us interesting data on those structures.

After that, we would go up to the immense Ferris wheel, I find it hard to express in words the magnitude of that work, the beautiful view it provided me was unequaled, I was able to see London from the sky, also by boat and of course on foot, the experience was beyond what I had ever imagined.

After those emotions, it was time to return to the inn and rest a little. Then we continued touring a little at night while my mom stayed resting, the walks during the day were long and she had to regain strength, but my friend and I were ready to get to know the Picadilly Circus area.

This area is very eventful; it has colorful advertisements, in addition to street artists who make some impressive shows. In one of the corners, there was the Ripley Museum, in which we took some photographs. I have to tell that since I arrived in London I really wanted to take a photo with the typical red telephone booths and that night I had the opportunity to do it; that walk was really fun.

What more could we ask of that day? I was satisfied, so it was time to go back to the inn and prepare for the following day.
