I don't know how many times I've been to Berlin, but one thing I know: the city never gets boring and a stay of one to several days is always great. Of course, I like being there in the summer, as it is now (actually, the thing with the summer applies for me for every place in Europe 😉)
The Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral) and the Television Tower in the background
As in Hamburg , I showed my girlfriend the city and experienced everything from a tourist point of view. However, as there was not much time for the sightseeing part (why will you find out below), we did a tour with one of the 'Hop-on Hop-off' sightseeing buses. The cozy version, for the fast run :) Here are some impressions...
The Reichstag building and the 'Platz der Republik' (Republic Square)
A 'Trabbi' - an old popular East German car
Siegessäule (Berlin Victory Column)
What I like again and again, is the view from the Siegessäule (Berlin Victory Column). The ascent to the viewing platform at the top is a bit exhausting, but definitely worth it. After the tour, a cocktail right on the Spree River a great activity.
I love this: view from the top of the Siegessäule (Berlin Victory Column)

Tip for Thai food fans: the Thai Park
I have already reported on the Thai Park on Steemit (however, in German only) and of course I had to visit it together with my Thai girlfriend (to be honest, that is even one of the main reasons why we went to Berlin)! 😄🙈
In short, it is actually called Preußenpark and every weekend you can try authentic Thai food there. Thais living in Germany open their small stalls and so you can be sure that you get original Thai food. No matter if you just come by for a quick taste or you want to make yourself comfortable on the green meadow of the Preußenpark - the Thai Park is definitely worth it!
