I love travelling. Now I am very economically limited but whenever I can raise some money I do tourism.

My country, Venezuela, is very beautiful and has many places to spend a different weekend.

The place that I want to present in this publication exists a mostly indigenous population known as the Warao ethnic group, so it is necessary to hire a guide to have communication with the native population. Of course, the guide must speak Spanish, English and the Warao aboriginal language.

You have to be prepared not to use mobile phones or access the internet because in these areas these services are very limited.

It is being in touch with nature, forget about the world for a while and enjoy the maximum of local landscapes.

The departure is usually made from Tucupita, which is the capital of the Delta Amacuro State. Here you must stock everything you need to start an ecological adventure. That is, you have to buy drinking water, have cash, imperishable food, mosquito repellent and a first aid kit.

It is also important to wear appropriate clothing and old sports shoes to get into the water (where they allow it).

I made the mistake of traveling without several of the forecasts that I am indicating so I could not bathe and I was very nervous about the mosquitoes that can cause diseases such as malaria. However, I never got sick.

After the departure from Tucupita, boats can stop at Boca de Uracoa for the supply of gasoline.

From there he goes to a place to camp and even overnight.

Ubanoco facilities are nice and comfortable (taking into account the place) for adventure tourism.

As you can see are simple, multiple and spacious rooms for groups of tourists.

The roof of this great bohío is cane brava and palm (in the style of local people). Architecturally is a design show.

They have many open spaces to walk and enjoy the wild flora; They also have kayaking to navigate.

There is a large and pleasant dining room with tables and wooden benches. Protected with a kind of mosquito net and ornamented with typical plants.

The happiness of being there is total, as these girls pose for this photograph of the memory.

There are navigable channels and others not due to the obstruction of an aquatic plant called Bora that can grow abundantly. A good boatman goes through some of these channels for his experience driving the boats.

In Caño Mánamo there is fantastic flora and fauna. One does not cease to be amazed at how wonderful nature is.

You can also visit some indigenous villages to see and buy some of their handicrafts: baskets, necklaces and bracelets made with local materials. You have to be very cautious when taking pictures because they don't like it.

Finally, we return satisfied. The Delta gave us a beautiful sunset worthy of a quiet weekend amidst the immensity of nature.
