France is full of history for hundreds of centuries. We only have to give ourselves the opportunity to visit places other than Paris, its capital.
On this occasion I would like to present my tour of Amboise Castle. But first I'm going to locate them.
Amboise is a medieval-style city. It is located in the Centre-Valley de Loire in the central region of France. I would say that territorially it is in the heart of France.
The city of Amboise is very beautiful. Its narrow streets and many of its houses are timbered on their facades. The Clock Tower is very famous and very visited especially in summer by Italians. During its construction, in the 15th century, it was the main entrance to Amboise.
My main tour was at the Amboise Castle because I wanted to visit the place where the remains of the great artist Leonardo Da Vinci lay.
The Castle is small in relation to others, so you can do the tour in only 1 hour and a half. From the Tower of the Minimes you can get a fabulous view of the city and the Loire River.
On the inscription it says:
Leonardo Da Vinci
Born in Vinci of Florence on April 14, 1452, he spent the last three years of his life in Amboise, at the manor of Clos Luce on the invitation of King Francis I.
He died there on May 2, 1519 and was buried at his request in the castle, in the collegiate church of St. Florentine, which was destroyed in 1807.
His presumed remains found during the excavations carried out in 1863 were transferred to this chapel.
Then you have to enjoy all the gardens that form the great harmony of the Amboise Castle.
