In this episode we tackle the behemoth, the incumbent, the kind of cafe's himself (or herself), Starbucks.
Starbucks is where the coffee craze, that has been taking over the United States in the past few decades, all began. With optomistic founders and an extended network of farms, processing plants and distribution centers, Starbucks quickly grew to become one of the largest restaurant chains in the world. With a progressive brand and perfect consistency across the world, Starbucks quickly became a household name.
Found on at least 3 out of every 4 corners in the United States, Starbucks is a staple of "gourmet" coffee culture
While they may have a progressive corporate culture, fancy stores and a worldwide distribution network ... they don't have the best coffee.

Overall I enjoyed my experience at this Starbucks. I must say I have enjoyed most of my experiences at Starbucks. They do a nice job of creating an inviting ambience and act as a full service cantina, giving you everything you need from hot caffeine injections to tasty sandwiches with the crust cut off. While I can say nothing bad about the cafe, the coffee itself was nothing exceptional. Here's to good wifi, thanks for that Starbucks.
If you are ever in Seattle I do recommend checking out Starbucks, simply because that is where the megalith originated. While it may not be worth more than one cup of joe, it's definitely worth paying homage to the gentle giant. I would highly recommend the coffee in the Pacific NW in general as they end up taking their products quite seriously and it results in many good cafes.
