The evening before our adventure my husband had been discussing how nice Hallett Cove is and whether we would go there. Angel had thought that the train didn't stop there, but on our southbound journey to Seaford and Moana we'd passed not only Hallett Cove station, but Hallett Cove Beach station too
“Catch the southbound train and get off at the end of the line.”
It's been winter, my eldest daughter, Angel, was feeling down and in need of a little adventure to pick her up. The beach is always her go to for happy times and at the end of the southern line is Seaford and Moana beach.
The last time we went to Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens, we were a bit short on time and didn't really get as long as we'd have liked. This time I tried to give us a bit more time so we weren't rushing as much. Autumn was getting into full swing at the time of our visit and I wanted to get there for the
Glenelg is probably Adelaide’s most popular beach destination. It's certainly the most commercial one and the most geared up for tourism and income generation. It was the first place to be settled on the South Australian mainland back in 1836, so has a fair amount of history behind it.

When Christmas is in summer, it seems to make perfect sense to be at the beach. Our very first Christmas in Australia, ten years ago, was spent at the beach. It was an almost perfect day; cloudy enough to be off putting to most, but still warm. Most Australians were spending the day with their famil
There's something tranquil about water and waterways. Perhaps it's the life it supports, which is particularly appealing when you live in the driest state in the driest country. Here and there, you can come across little oases in the suburbs and one of these is Wynn Vale Dam.

My daughter, Izzy, wanted to do something special for Halloween this year and decided on a scary film for the evening and beach trip for the day. She was possibly wanting to rekindle memories of our early days in South Australia, when we made a sand pumpkin. It really was a novelty to us then to hav
