Along the GOA on a bike. Part III

Along the GOA on a bike. Part III

May 2018 · 4 min read · Goa

Hallo anyone who visit my blog and reads these lines. How are you? I am ok :)

Today I would like to continue the story about my trip around Goa. Here you can see the beginning of the story.

As I wrote in the previous part, it turned out that we had some problems with the motorcycle. After the accident, we were surrounded by a crowd of Hindus. One of them was interested on English, whether are,nt we drug addicts or alcoholics. My wife was offended by these questions and she answered this curious Hindu in a somewhat rude manner...

That ill-fated scooter

After a short exchange of opinions, it turned out that there is no need to apply to doctors. As a result, it was decided to continue our trip to Old Goa. After some wanderings and minor misunderstandings, we finally reached our destination.

The center of historical sights of Old Goa partly resembles the Square of Miracles in Pisa (Italy).

Since childhood I have a powerful and vivid imagination. I once presented a picture of the arrival of the Portuguese ships to India, opening an unknown country and the meeting of two different cultures.

It's nice to be in the cool of a medieval building after a grueling heat.

Usually the great sights are occupied by crowds of tourists. It,s strange, but in the Old Goa this problem was not observed. Maybe the reason at the beginning of the tourist season...

While I was expecting my spouse I took some pictures of the types of Indians that I liked

Traditional female attire of Sari looks very impressive

This Indian boy was enthusiastically doing SELFI. I decided to take a picture of this creative process...

Reader of my blog, can you so calmly sit on sharp stones? Me not :-) If you can do I will upvote your coment)

Very impressive is the blending of the classical style of architecture with the local traditions of decorative art. Pay attention to this portal.

Classic Roman (Corinthian) warrant and Indian ornament!

As I understood among the population of Goa, quite a few Christians

When I examined this beautiful courtyard confused me a sharp smell of chlorine. And then I saw such a sad picture.
I saw some women open wounds on the body and the lack of fingers on their hands. The picture is rather depressing. As I understand from the story of a Hindu, these unfortunates ask for help from the church ...

Unfortunately poverty problem is very acute in our world.

For a long time we could not find the impressive ruins of the church of St. Augustine. Until at last one kind policeman showed us the way.

As I understood, the monks left the temple. For some time the building of the temple was in desolation and then collapsed...

Permit me to introduce you to the toes of my foot! :-)

After examining the ruins, we decided to move on the return journey. Everything went pretty well until I felt the strange behavior of the scooter. His rear wheel began to wobble. I stopped ... my guess was right - the wheel was pierced!

Where is the service? Who can I contact for help? This is India, brother!

Bad luck is a relative term

We were lucky, the wheel burst in 200 meters from the service. We were surprised to see a grimy mechanic with a long screwdriver in his hands. In general, local repairmen differ little from our cleanliness of overalls, but in terms of honesty they make our guys a hundred points.

Calls to the owner of the rental, waiting for tires from the store, writing checks - all this is left outside the framework of the post.

After the wandering in the dark along the coast, we noticed a familiar cafe and sighed with relief. How wonderful to drink beer "Kingfisher" looking at the sunset. And how good is red perch and royal prawns on the shore of the Arabian Sea. I recommend you!
