Our last destination before leaving home was the fortress of Carcassonne. We have already visited this fortress. That was 15 years ago. We wanted to refresh our impressions. With some excitement, we approached this beautiful place ...

Fifteen years ago, I saw this magnificent structure at night. It seemed to me then that I was in the far middle ages, or maybe I got into the fairy tale of knights...

This time we arrived at the fortress in the afternoon. Unfortunately the day was overcast. However, the main precept of the traveler states that the tourist must enjoy his journey in any weather.

For a start, we enjoyed the spectacle of the virtuosity of driving a truck. Behind the wheel was clearly a master of his craft.

How I love the low season. No crowds of tourists. Waiters and sellers are bored. It is a pity that the low season does not affect the prices, which remain very high.

From the fortress walls, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views.

How wonderful it is that the fortress has not undergone restructuring and exists in its historical form.

Autumn has one major drawback. The day is very short. Darkness comes very quickly. Therefore, we end the tour and go to the airport Girona.

Before the Spanish frontier we stop to stretch our legs. The inscription on the information index offers us to inspect the fort. We take the opportunity.

And now, fifteen years later, I am again in Girona. I have changed a lot. But Girona has not changed, the city is just as beautiful.
