This is very strange, living for a long time in some place, we do not even suspect the existence of interesting places nearby. So it happened with me. Recently I found out that not far from my city is a beautiful old castle. It justifies me a little that the castle is located in a sparsely populated place, across the river, away from the main bridges.
Recently, the castle has gained fame and popularity.
A group of French friends came to us to stay a few days. We organized a weekend program for them. The first point of the program was a visit to the castle.
Early in the morning we set off for the river crossing. I found out that the ferry runs across the river four times a day, twice in the morning and twice in the evening. Having successfully passed the traffic jams, we arrived on time for the first departure of the ferry.
It should be noted that for our guests the ferry was a kind of exotic attraction. They were especially pleased that the ferry boarded the bottom of the coast and could not move for a long time. As an organizer of the program, I felt certain concern.
After some time, the motor pulled up and the ferry rolled off the coast
In less than 15 minutes we approached the other side of the river. The castle looked impressive.
A guide was waiting for us at the gate. who told us the castle was built on the territory of the starch-syrup factory by its owner.
In addition to the castle, the hospital building and the administrative complex have been preserved on the territory of the factory
Unfortunately the interiors of the castle were not kept. Lost murals, bas-reliefs and other decor. All wooden structural elements collapsed
If you look at this photo and read these lines, tell me for what these nails were hammered into the wall?
Recently, the castle was purchased from the state in private ownership. The interiors will be restored
There is a long and painstaking work requiring high cash costs. The new owner of the castle will need patience. Good luck to him
