Hello Fellow Steemians❗I guess it's time for me again to be back for my travel days because it seems that I were already sophisticated in doing my paintings and artworks. So now I will be bringing you again to our third hiking trip with my cousin in Mt. Talinis.

Beautiful Mt. Talinis

Mt. Talinis sometimes called as *Horn of Negros because of its complex mountain shape and trail. However, it is also a mountain volcano about 1,903 meters long above sea level. It is known to be the second highest mountain of Negros Oriental, Philippines. The most abundant rocks can be found in here; Andesite and basalt. There are many volcanic lakes that sorrounds the mountain and it is so beautiful to go with especially for the tourist. It is nice to have a hiking trip at this mountain or easily climbed via nature starting in Bidjao, Dauin and Apolong.

On March 31, 2010, Reminiscing the Black Saturday, we have our travel going to Negros from Cebu. We rode a boat inorder to have ourselves in the place we wanted to go. We started to travel at 6:00 am in the morning, it took 3 hours before we arrived in Negros. After, we then rode a bus going to Negros Oriental where Mt. Talinis is located.

Day 1...

We then arrived at 9:00 am at Brgy. Apolong, Negros Oriental where we will start our hiking trip in the said place.

9:22 am (Tent building)

The first thing we did, was to find first a place to stay because it was still hot and we haven't ate our breakfast yet. So just a meter away from the starting point, we found the place to stay and then we built our tent before we endure our breakfast.

I thought how complex it was when the first thing I saw was the plain structure of the mountain. I then asked my older cousin why is that so? She then answered, we are yet too far from the original mountain volcano, we are still at the starting point so keep relax and gather all your strenght. Well, how excited I was on that time. So I just continued to helped them built the tent before we took our hiking adventure.

10:00 am (Breakfast time)

I have eaten many at this juncture inorder to gain energy before taking the said complex mountain. We then have a talk together with my cousin about how excited they are to have the walk along Mt. Talinis.

12:00 noon (The start of adventure)

I was happy and we were so blessed that the sun wasn't that shining because it was covered by dark clouds, not that totally dark but rather thick clouds. So we have less worries about our skin well, we then have our walk along the complex mountain volcano. The first place we went was the forest land of Mt. Talinis.

2:04 pm (The Green Forest)

After our 2 hours of walked, we finally arrived at the beautiful forest trail of the mountain. Their I can say that it was really complex. Indeed, there are many huge trees that sorrounds us. Different kinds of trees to be exact. So we just continue to walked along the forest, it was very difficult to find the way out in their because of its complexity. So lucky to have that we already found it and then have our way out because we were so scared. I could just remember the movie Wrong Turn..huhu I don't want to end myself yet. Please please please. So inorder to put us away from danger we then pursue to go out and find another place to have our adventure in the mountain.

4:37 pm (The Foggy Mountain)

We didn't thought what will happened after we went out of the forest and found the place were so foggy. It was even more harder for us to took a step and find some other places of the mountain. What we did was just blew the fogs. The area were covered all througly by the thick fogs. We were stocked for almost half an our on the place.

We then have the flash light and find some way to get out from their. We then successfully pursue to get out but what makes it bad was that the night was fast approacing. Sunset began to shuttered already. So watching the setting again of the sun was always my favorite time to took some picture.

We were so mad on what have happened, we just have a rest in a nearby place and built again our tent. We stopped our hike because it was already night. It is much dangerous to take every step of the mountain thinking its complexity. We just planned to have it tomorrow and continue the adventure.

Day 2...

7:40 am (View at the top of Mt. Talinis)

Because we were at the top of the mountain, we then planned to go back down and go to the lake that sorrounds Mt. Talinis but we will not take anymore the way back down and just find other way to get through the lake. One thing made us entertained, after viewing the view at the top of the mountain we noticed the huge tree. What makes it interesting is that, it was hanging on the cliff of the mountain. It was really dangerous to look at its place. We took the oppurtunity eventhough it was so dangerous and have a glimpse of memories on the hanging tree. Their we can see at the buttom the lake of Mt. Talinis, so we then started to walked down and have ourselves at the lake.

9:00 am (Meters away from the lake)

We then already have our way to the lake. I was just confused why the soil in this place was different compared to the other place we went in this mountain. It might be because of the lake or I really don't know what makes it white in color. We just continued to walk and grasp all the views of the mountain because this is the last day of our trip for sure.

10:30 am (Balinsasayao Twin Lake)

It is the most visited lake of Mt. Talinis. Though the mountain were sorrounded by many lakes but the most beautiful lake to go is the Balinsasayao lake beacuse of its huge feature and compared to the other lake it has a clear water.

Their we make our adventurous moment together with my cousins. It's our last day and we were also celebrating Ester Sunday.

We have our open forum regarding in our exeprience in the mountain. Moreover, we compared it to our our last hiking trip in Mt. Naupa and Mt. Kan-irag. And I can hear their words about the the complexity of the mountain. They said that they didn't enjoyed that much in this mountain. But all in all it is another experienced in our part as a mountaineers. We were so blessed that nothing happened to us despite of its trailness.

Tips and guidlines before going to Mt. Talinis

• Be sure to prepare everything needed in climbing the mountains especially foods and drinks.
• Charged your phones and cameras fully in order to capture everything in the mountains or rather bring powerbanks for extra purposes.
• Wear the comfortable suit for your mountain climbing adventure. Most especially were trekking shoes for you to walk sufficiently in the rocky mountain of Mt. Talinis.
• Prepare things that can cover your gadgets during rains and other bad weather attacks because we can't predict the change of the climate.
• Bring extra money for other expenses like transportation and other needs during travel.
• Most of all, prepare yourself always as you enjoy the breath-taking walk along the complex mountain of Mt. Talinis.
