The Amazing Scotland: Part Five “West Loch Lomond Cycle Path”

May 2020 · 5 min read · Scotland

It was 12.30 and we weren’t hungry yet! So we wanted to explore more and more. The day and the whole tour becomes the remembered one while we have decided to go to the hire cycle to ride them through west Loch Lomond Path! This is about 28 km long path and we don’t know whether we would go to the end and come back or just go till we get tired.

I would like to seat there for an hour in a sunny afternoon! With a cup of Coffee and my favorite book!
I would like to seat there for an hour in a sunny afternoon! With a cup of Coffee and my favorite book!

We went through the car park area in between the tourist center and the Sweeney’s Cruises Ticket counter and started walked along the green field on our left and soon it was path of green long trees both side and a little path in between. After walking about ten minutes we found an open area and the Loch Lomond beach kind are where there were many cycle you could hire for.

Three of us took three cycle and started riding from the Sea Life Loch Lomond Aquarium area. It was really nice feeling to explore the unknown! Soon we found the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre and passed it, I could remember I had to pass a little bridge to a narrow path between the hill and the lake and I lost my mates who were using the other way!

This way was really beautiful and I did take the right path! I walked the road pushing my bike to enjoy the nature! Soon I was ended near to another green field but this time the trees was surrounding the green field and it was an amazing place, I felt for a while that I was lost and thought to return where I started!! Luckily, I still had my phone with me and found the narrow road between woods and lake to towards Duck Bay!

I started and with hope! I was crossing hill one side and the lake on the other side, after little white I found my friends chatting each other and capturing pictures!

Now we stated to find places we have seen from the Cruise Ship! I have talked about it on my previous post!

The road was smooth to ride the bike here and we found few beautiful houses and I just loved them! I straight thought if could able to build a house someday, I would build like one of these! Passing these house we went to the Marina Duck Bay where people could go for a boat ride Boat by "Marine Sales Scotland"

I just want one of them!
I just want one of them!

The path is beautiful here, both side of the road like sheet of green cover and of course with flower, this path itself could refresh you! People living here would be so lucky!

We have seen few more nice houses on the right while hill on the background in a little distance. We already were started seen the lake on our right, I wish it was a sunny day! We totally missed the beautiful landscape! Whenever I go to google street view I felt that I missed most of it, what a beautiful place to be!!!

The spectacular, breathtaking views just made me nostalgic.

This is the beautiful area what we have seen from the lake, basically as we have used the road very close to the lake we might seen all these places from the ship.

The Curin where we have ended our tour just after four kilometer as it would be eight kilometer with our return journey

The cruin! Beautiful private dining restaurant.

The little beach in the Cruin and the Pier was amazing! If you go to the Cruin during cloudy & windy time and feel yourself adventurous just go to the edge of the pier I'm pretty sure you would be amazed as the pier would be jumping on the water. Just be careful if you do not know swimming.

The deep water of Loch Lomond looks dangerous as the weather was Windy & Cloudy !

Lets find out about the path we have visited!

A level, linear route taking in the pretty village of Luss with spectacular views of Loch Lomond and its famous islands, Conic Hill and the most southerly Munro Ben Lomond (974m). There are many spots to picnic along this route including picturesque loch-side beaches. The approach to Luss follows a minor road shared with traffic- take care on this section until you reach the village. In Luss, follow signs for Lodge on the Loch, after which the route is off highway with lengthy traffic-free stretches along the shoreline. The final short section is on the pavement beside the A82 to finish in Tarbet.

We return to the Balloch by 15:30 and found our train standing and we got into it. The travel is still my favorite one and I am going to remember this for long. I wish I could have another opportunity to visit the beauty of the nature, the beautiful Scotland. The hostility of people and the God gifted nature definitely going to attract you with no time. Soon I will try to write about the final post about Scotland!

"The Returning" could be the final post!
