The cold wind kissing my skin, the perfect sunset view, the fragrance of the surroundings, and the relaxing sound of the birds made me more excited to reach the famous Campuestohan Highland Resort in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Stepping into the resort's gates awakened the child in me. Those cartoon characters that I grew up with are also present in the resort. All we could say was "Wow!" from the entrance until we went to our room.
The Campuestohan Highland Resort is situated between the boundaries of the two most progressive cities in Negros Occidental - Bacolod City and Talisay City. The highland resort is a 5-hectare property of Ricardo and Nita Tan. From this resort,we can see half of the province of Negros Occidental, and Panay Island.
Going to Campuestohan,we were able to ask the jeepney driver to take us to the highland resort from Brgy Concepcion, Talisay City for Php400 (more or less 8 USD) .The trip was more or less 25-30 minutes. There are also motorcycles that you can rent to take you to the place probably at a lower rate.
What excites me the most was our Bonita Hut accommodation which is so unique. We are like eskimos living in a mountain igloo. The Bonita Hut is Php2,500 (more or less 50 USD) per night which is already good for 4 persons. There are also other unique rooms for you to choose from.
