The Blue Gum trail is one of the best short hikes I have ever done. Close to a major Sydney train station makes for good access as well. I did not really plan this one too well, as I was just looking for a place to run the night before on google. The city streets did not look or feel that appealing when I noticed a trail on the map. It was only about 4 kilometres long but I thought if I just ran out and back I should be able to make it an easy 10km

I was not far into my run when I realised it was a pretty technical and there would be a lot more walking rather than running, there was also a lot of stairs to tackle.

These rocks are called the Washtub. There was not a lot of water flow when I was there but it must be impressive with more rain.
