Floating umbrellas in Novigrad.

A sky full of umbrellas in Novigrad.

Here I am always talking about Croatia, here i change place, i move to Novigrad.

Novigrad city of which I will speak more in depth in one of the next posts. Here I talk about a very pretty thing that I confess until now I had only seen  in the internet picture. When I was in front of this street of umbrellas it was a really nice moment, it seemed to be in a fairytale place. Raise your nose and see rows of colored umbrellas, Mary Poppins makes you feel less excited, pick one and fly  and singing a song !

The aesthetic effect of these streets with umbrellas is surprising and really beautiful.

Not by chance we were all still taking pictures, like crazy Japanese tourists.

The idea of

coloring the streets with umbrellas was born in Portugal, they says to shade the streets that otherwise bubbled under the rays of the sun.

Later this idea of

floating umbrellas has been taken in many cities here in Italy, sometimes with umbrellas of a thousand colors and sometimes only one color, for example during the anti-violence days on women, various cities have covered themselves with red umbrellas. Beautiful also as a work of art to color the sky, the streets and the looks of passersby.

These streets of umbrellas scattered all over the world are very beautiful to see, online you will find many photos of similar streets in many cities. I think it's a very nice idea, not only to protect oneself from the heat but also to liven up the streets and give them color. Coloring the way how to color life, a slap to the greyness of the world.
